At the Asian Association of Community Wellness (AACW), we are deeply committed to ​involving in research and engaging in advocacy that address the specific health and ​wellness needs of Asian communities. Our efforts are focused on generating knowledge, ​influencing policy, and raising awareness to foster a more equitable and healthy society.


Our research initiatives are designed to address the unique challenges faced by Asian ​populations in the realms of health and wellness. Key areas of focus include:


  • Cultural Sensitivity in Mental Health Care:
    • Investigating best practices for delivering culturally competent mental health ​services.
    • Conducting studies to understand the mental health challenges and stigma within ​Asian communities.
    • Developing training programs for healthcare providers to improve cultural ​competency.


  • Community Health Trends and Needs:
    • Analyzing health data to identify prevalent issues such as diabetes, hypertension, ​and mental health disorders within Asian populations.
    • Studying the impact of social determinants of health on Asian communities.
    • Collaborating with academic institutions to publish findings and inform public health ​strategies.


  • Wellness Interventions:
    • Designing and evaluating interventions tailored to the specific needs of Asian ​families, including intergenerational wellness programs.
    • Implementing pilot programs to test the effectiveness of new health and wellness ​strategies.
    • Gathering feedback from community members to refine and improve our initiatives.



Asian Association of Community Wellness is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
